Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce
Taskforces/Committees/Sub-Committees
Executive Committee: President, Vice
President, Treasurer, President Emeritus, Executive Director
Purpose: This committee will also serve
as the Nominating Committee to provide a list of names for qualified and
eligible board candidates for the upcoming term to the Board to the
Executive Committee and Board of Directors. They shall also review
members for the Chamber Council.|
Chamber Council: Ralph

Ambassadors: Tracy Keen, Director. Lisa Mair, Crystal Woods, Todd Walton, Nadine Roush, Charlotte Bresach,
Kristy Lewellyn, Crystal Mortland, Jennifer Cox, Cheryl Hamilton
Purpose: To meet monthly and be
responsible for membership recruitment and retention. In January’s
meeting, they shall divide to have at least two (2) Ambassadors to be
responsible for each Chamber meeting for contacting any and all new
members, inviting to meeting, offering a ride, introducing them to the
members, and going the extra mile to make them feel welcome and
included. Director is responsible for organizing “Ambassadors” monthly
meetings, chairing the meeting, and working with Executive Director in
tracking membership and follow-up in all areas.
Economic Growth Taskforce: Ralph
Witty-Director, Paul Tedesco, Dale Knotts, Nancy Karazia, Cam Trampke,
Connie Puckett, Cheryl Hamilton
Purpose: Be responsible for actively
promoting Economic Development and Growth for Linton and the Linton
Community. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining a
current ED packet for potential prospects, attending meetings that
involve Economic Development for the Chamber, working with the City of
Linton in ED.
Publicity Taskforce: Ron Carey, Christy

Strategic Planning & Finance Taskforce:
Sue Knoll – Director, Marsha Kelley, Ralph Witty, Lola Brewer, John

Sub-Committee: Chamber
Accountant – Lola Brewer
Purpose: Set policies for all areas &
events for the Chamber. Oversee finances and prepare budget to be
submitted to Executive Committee. Create short-term goals & plan,
mid-term goals & plan, and long-term goals & plan for the Chamber.
Retail Taskforce: Tracy Keen, Kathy
Matthews, Charolett Bresach, Vic Brown, Fred Markle, Ron Carey, Cheryl
Hamilton
Purpose:
Responsible to be a Chamber Liaison to the business sector; working at
ways to promote the Linton Community in order to stimulate our economy
(Chamber Checks, Christmas promotion, shopping promotions, advertising
promotions).
Technology Taskforce: Kip Hoffer, Steve
Myers, John Cotter, Cheryl Hamilton
Purpose:
Responsible for overseeing and updating the Chamber’s Web Site and
keeping the chamber’s equipment maintained and current.
Detail Taskforce: Ralph Witty -

Purpose: Responsible for maintaining
the Chamber’s properties and for setting up, as needed, for meetings and
events.
Boat Show Taskforce: Ralph Witty & John
Hert Co-Chairs, Bob Bradford, Derek McKee, Sonny Reeves, Ralph Witty,
Kip Hoffer
Purpose: Director responsible for
details involved for the annual Boat Show in Indianapolis; checking to
see if there is sufficient and current marketing materials including
display, scheduling of volunteers, and all details for the Boat Show.
Home & Business Expo Taskforce: Todd
Walton, Cheryl Hamilton, David Ross, Ralph Witty, Jim Morrison, Bill
Morrison, Steve Hall
Purpose: Co-Directors are responsible
to oversee and organize all details for the event. Taskforce is to meet
at least six months prior to the event on a regular basis and as needed
as the event draws closer; follow-up event with a meeting to re-cap
highlights and make notes for future year.

Linton Freedom Festival Taskforce:

Responsible to
oversee the Linton Freedom Festival & 34 Days of June in its entirety
and each of its subgroups. All taskforce members are responsible for
organizing and seeing through every detail regarding the Linton Freedom
Festival Parade.

Responsible for
providing an eligible and qualified candidate(s) for the Linton Hall of

press release to newspaper, award, etc. – coordinating with the Chamber
